JOB SUMMARY 
 
ESCO Plastics, part of Colson Group, is investing in a new automated polyurethane manufacturing line at its Magnolia, Texas facility. This strategic expansion will introduce advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and modern production processes to support future business growth. Team members joining this project will have the unique opportunity to help build a new operation from the ground up, work with state-of-the-art equipment, develop new skills, and contribute to one of the company's most important growth initiatives. 
 
The Polyurethane Process Technician operates polyurethane mixing, metering, recipe control, material preparation, casting, process monitoring, and troubleshooting activities to produce stable polyurethane wheels according to specifications. This is an onsite, first shift position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM with overtime as required. Pay for this role is $17.00 per hour.

 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 

  • Operate PU casting equipment, HMI controls, metering systems, tanks, pumps, mixers, and related equipment. 
  • Prepare, heat, load, monitor, and dispense polyurethane materials safely and accurately. 
  • Monitor and record critical process parameters, temperatures, ratios, flow rates, and batch information. 
  • Perform controlled pouring and casting operations while maintaining recipe discipline. 
  • Calibrate, clean, purge, and inspect mixing and casting equipment. 
  • Identify and escalate process deviations, equipment alarms, and quality concerns. 
  • Coordinate with Bonding, Finishing, Quality, and Maintenance teams. 
  • Support process validation, startup activities, scrap reduction, and operator training. 
  • Maintain accurate batch records and traceability documentation. 
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Mechanical aptitude and HMI equipment operation skills. 
  • Strong math, measurement, documentation, and troubleshooting abilities. 
  • Ability to safely handle pails, drums, heated materials, and chemical systems. 
  • Strong attention to detail and process discipline. 
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • 2+ years industrial manufacturing experience required.
  • Polyurethane, plastics, resin, molding, casting, or chemical process experience preferred.
  • Additional technical training preferred.
